What an Acty Van is

The Acty's defining trick is where the engine lives: mounted transversely amidships under the load bed rather than under the cab. It looks like a cab-over, but structurally it is a mid-engined vehicle. Cab-over packaging puts the driver ahead of the front axle, which is how Honda got a working bed onto a vehicle only 330cm long overall. This is the van-bodied side of the Acty family, sharing the truck's mid-engine layout under an enclosed body.
