About the 1996 Honda Acty

The Acty's defining trick is where the engine lives: mounted transversely amidships under the load bed rather than under the cab. It looks like a cab-over, but structurally it is a mid-engined vehicle. Honda aimed the Acty at agriculture and forestry — its "Attack" grade was explicitly a farming model, with creeper gears and a rear differential lock as standard. At 850kg the Acty is light even by kei standards, which is a large part of why such a small engine copes.
