About This Vehicle
A 2025 Daihatsu Hijet Deck Van in our current inventory, finished in White, brought in out of the Japanese domestic market.
Background: the Hijet Deck Van
Daihatsu is Toyota's small-vehicle specialist and the Hijet is the product it has spent longest refining — sixty-plus years of iteration on a single idea, and it shows in how resolved the details are. The Hijet has been in continuous production since November 1960, which makes it the oldest surviving kei nameplate — and in 2021 it took a Good Design Long Life Design Award, a first for Daihatsu. Daihatsu sold the Hijet in an unusually wide spread of factory body styles — flatbed, PTO dump, panel van, canvas top, the extended-cab Jumbo from 1983 and the four-seat Deck Van from 1988 — because Japanese buyers specified them for particular trades.
What is on file for this Hijet Deck Van
This one is recorded as delivery mileage only. The listing gives a condition of new. The listing records Remote Door Unlock, 4WD with Rear Locking Differential, AC & Heat, Power Steering, Power Windows and LED Headlights.
How this 2025 Hijet Deck Van is put together
Power comes from the KF, a fuel-injected 660cc 3-cylinder unit. A 2025 Daihatsu on the KF is running the company's current-generation kei engine rather than a legacy design. The 2025 Hijet Deck Van came with a CVT automatic gearbox, and that is what this one has.
Living with a Hijet Deck Van
Four-wheel drive in a van body is an unusual combination outside Japan, and it is the reason these get used well past the end of the pavement. We imported this 2025 Hijet Deck Van ourselves and sell it directly — there is no Daihatsu franchise between you and the vehicle. It is listed at $30,500.
