About This Vehicle

We have this 2025 Daihatsu Hijet Cargo on the lot, finished in Orange, imported direct from Japan. Drive on this Hijet Cargo is four-wheel drive. There are 10 photographs of this exact vehicle on this page — not stock images of a similar one.

What a Hijet Cargo is

The Hijet Climber was the first kei vehicle offered with a limited-slip differential, and low-range sub-transmissions were a factory option across several generations. Daihatsu sold the Hijet in an unusually wide spread of factory body styles — flatbed, PTO dump, panel van, canvas top, the extended-cab Jumbo from 1983 and the four-seat Deck Van from 1988 — because Japanese buyers specified them for particular trades. Trade-spec Hijets were overwhelmingly white; this one is recorded as Orange.

2025 Daihatsu Hijet Cargo: engine, gearbox and running gear

Under it is the KF, a fuel-injected 660cc 3-cylinder engine. Daihatsu replaced the long-running EF with the KF, moving to twin cams and full electronic engine management. Gearbox on this Hijet Cargo is a 5-speed manual gearbox, driving four-wheel drive. A 2025 Daihatsu on the KF is running the company's current-generation kei engine rather than a legacy design.

Recorded condition of this 2025 Hijet Cargo

The odometer figure on file is delivery mileage only. The listing gives a condition of new. On the specification sheet: Remote Door Unlock, 4WD with Rear Locking Differential, AC & Heat, Power Steering, Power Windows and LED Headlights.

Where a Hijet Cargo earns its keep

Four-wheel drive in a van body is an unusual combination outside Japan, and it is the reason these get used well past the end of the pavement. We imported this 2025 Hijet Cargo ourselves and sell it directly — there is no Daihatsu franchise between you and the vehicle. The asking price is $27,000.
