The mechanical side of this Acty Van

Under it is the E07A, a 660cc engine. Honda built the E07A oversquare — a 66.0mm bore against a 64.0mm stroke — which is why it would rather rev than lug. Gearbox on this Acty Van is an automatic gearbox, driving two-wheel drive.

Background: the Acty Van

The Acty's defining trick is where the engine lives: mounted transversely amidships under the load bed rather than under the cab. It looks like a cab-over, but structurally it is a mid-engined vehicle. Cab-over packaging puts the driver ahead of the front axle, which is how Honda got a working bed onto a vehicle only 330cm long overall. Japanese enthusiasts call the Acty 農道のNSX — "the NSX of the farm roads" — because it was the only mid-engined kei truck, in the same layout as Honda's supercar.

What an Acty Van is good for

A closed body keeps the load dry and locked, which is the trade you make against the open bed of the truck version. It is on our books as HDAV2203630R0803, and what this listing records is what we hold on file for it.
