What a Minicab is

The later Minicab looks semi-cab-over because Mitsubishi pushed the front axle forward for a crush zone, but the engine still sits under the driver's seat, so structurally it remained a cab-over. Mitsubishi supplied the Minicab to Nissan to sell as the Clipper from 2003, so the same truck ran in Japan under two badges. Minicabs sold into Japanese agriculture and light construction, and the factory list reflects it: a dedicated "Minori" farm specification, low-range transfer options and heavy-duty dump beds. Mitsubishi ended in-house Minicab production in 2014; the truck that replaced it is a rebadged Suzuki, so every Mitsubishi-built Minicab is now a closed population.
