Suzuki offered a differential lock and a limited-slip differential on the Carry from as early as 1986, and four-wheel-drive five-speeds got an extra-low gear. A 350kg rating on a vehicle this size only works because Suzuki engineered the chassis around the load rather than around the cab. At 710kg the Carry is light enough to be recovered, trailered or pushed by two people, which is not a trivial property on a working vehicle.
