About the 1999 Suzuki Carry

The Carry has been built under licence and badge worldwide — as the Bedford Rascal in the UK, the Holden Scurry in Australia, the Maruti Omni in India — which is unusual reach for a kei truck. The Carry uses the classic kei arrangement — cab-over body, engine mounted longitudinally under the driver's seat, drive to the rear — which keeps everything short-coupled and within reach. Suzuki has built the Carry since 1961 — eleven generations, and the oldest nameplate the company still sells. It was Japan's best-selling truck nameplate for thirty-nine consecutive years from 1971, passing four million units by 2010.
